WHOLESALE LOROPETALUM

For decades, Cline’s Nursery has been passionate about Loropetalum. We are committed to providing our landscape and other wholesale customers with the highest-quality Loropetalum in a variety of sizes.  We provide wholesale Loropetalum in hard-to-find sizes and quantities for landscapers and other wholesale customers.

Loropetalum is also known as Chinese Fringe-Flower. It is a member of the Witchazel family. The name Loropetalum comes from the Greek words for strap and petal, referring to the long and thin petals of the plant blooms. What makes these plants so unique and desirable for gardeners is the rarity of an all-red shrub.

The Loropetalum is a native Chinese plant that was adapted before it became suitable to be grown in the United States. The kind that we see and plant in the United States is called Rubrum, a variety of Loropetalum that is often found in the wild. This natural shrub is beautiful and leaves no surprise as to why it is a best-selling must-have for gardeners.

Wholesale Loropetalums are very adaptable to light, they fare well in both full sun and full shade, and they are very easy to grow! These popular plants require no extra work for their beauty and color pop that they offer to any room.

Where to Plant Loropetalum

Loropetalum shrubs are best planted in zones 7, 8, and 9, all across the country. This impressive plant can also grow in zone 10 California, despite the dry summers. This plant is drought resistant, but you should take the provisions of spending at least the first growing season caring for your new plant with regular watering.

Though Florida does have a zone 10, the Loropetalum will not do well there. Due to the high humidity, your shrub will not do well.

This shrub grows great in any garden, offering a beautiful pop of color and easy care. These are also great additions to any home plant collection. These are easy to trim and shape to fit into any shape in the house.

How to Care For Loropetalum

Caring for your Loropetalum is surprisingly easy. It traditionally naturally grows in woodlands with moist, slightly acidic, and well-drained soil, it has proved to grow well in just about any garden. It thrives in ordinary garden soil and in full sun.

The best place to plant your Loropetalum plants is in woodland gardens and areas under thick, shading trees. Though your Fringe Flower can withstand full sun, it is better to put it in an environment it is comfortable with.

Loropetalums are great for outdoor planting and also do very well in planter boxes and tubs. These plants are so beautiful and colorful that they will brighten up any spot, with or without company.

Varieties of Loropetalum

The red-leaf Loropetalum is the most popular form of this plant. With beautiful budding red flowers and a beautiful appearance, they are the most obvious choice for a new addition to any garden. The green-lead form is an ignored variety of the Loropetalum, but it is nonetheless just as beautiful! These plants are less colorful but are still functional and easy to take care of around the house or around the yard.

Though this variety is less colorful than their counterpart, they still bud with some yellow or white flowers. This variety of Loropetalum looks great paired with the red variety. The green, red and small yellow buds look spectacular all together.
