The Autumn Coral™ Encore® Azalea has large single coral pink flowers from spring through fall and attracts butterflies. Works well in container, as a hedge or singly as an outstanding accent plant Does best in morning sun or filtered sun. Azaleas perform best in acidic soil, which can be amended with chelated iron if necessary. Protection from the wind and good drainage provide optimal conditions. Prune only to shape after the first bloom period in spring. Fertilize in late winter or early spring to give the upcoming blooms a boost. Plant 5’ to 6’ apart, from center to center when using as a foundation planting or in the shrub border. When establishing a hedge, plant 3’ to 4’ apart, center to center.
